Strategically located northwest of Toronto, the Town of Caledon
is the largest municipality within the Greater Toronto Area. It is only 20 km (12
miles) from Toronto International Airport, and within easy reach of Toronto, Mississauga
and Brampton. Caledon has a land area of more than 700 square kilometers serviced by a
network of 939 kilometers of local and regional roads and provincial highways.
The
Town of Caledon itself is a charming collection of 15 towns and villages nestled amongst
some of the most beautiful rolling hills and farmland in Ontario, the largest settlements
being Bolton, Caledon East, Caledon Village and Palgrave. The town is well
positioned to take advantage of efficient transportation linkages to Toronto, the United
States and global markets.
The Town of Caledon has the advantage of having 8 universities and 6 colleges
within easy commuting distance. School facilities at both the elementary and
secondary levels are provided by the Peel Board of Education (Public) and the
Dufferin-Peel Roman Catholic Boards.
