Landing on the Upper Level
At the top of the stairs leading into the kitchen area is another exit onto another deck which faces west. The dark coloured tongue in groove walnut flooring runs from the hallway directly through the kitchen.

The Ground Floor Family Room
Just as on the upper level, the family room is a large room with laminate flooring on one side housing the games table and comfortable berber carpet on the other for the TV entertainment centre.  Large picture windows looking south and east bring in the natural light and views.  Here too we have a woodstove that provides great warmth in the colder months for this room as well as the upper floor.  There is a grate in the ceiling above the stove to facilitate the rising heat into the rest of the house.  These 2 stoves are supplementary heat – the home is primarily heated with a propane furnace and is air-conditioned.
