The Living Room
Striking original hardwood floors beautifully restored dominate this living area.  Overhead is the century barn beam, and in the centre of the room is the woodburning fireplace.  There are recessed built-in book cases on both sides of the fireplace for displaying artwork and books.  On the far log wall is another built-in shelving unit with attractive natural pine trim.
The Fireplace
Originally this was the site of the huge open Settlers Fireplace and is now converted to a wood insert which is much more efficient in heating. Without doubt, it is the focal point of the room with its elegant custom built and designed wood mantel and stone wall to the ceiling. Along the front is the slate tile that runs the full extent of the north wall. Closet doors and room for more storage are at the end of the room.
The Dining Area
Refurbished pine plank flooring on this side of the room with all its beautiful hues and changes are evident in the dining and family rooms. Plenty of room for an expanding table for those special occasions, the dining table is right beside the clever pass-thru to the kitchen for easy serving.  New windows throughout with the 4 panes were specifically chosen to emulate the original century windows of that era.   It is a bright and attractive room and open to the main floor.
The Kitchen
Added sometime in the l970’s this kitchen has been further upgraded and is now a significant part of the home.  With extensive cream coloured cupboards and long counters, the attractive ceramic tiled floor has large and small tiles staggered to give a more interesting look.  A separate centre island with solid wood countertop has a convenient breakfast bar which has the added advantage of being able to look out towards the rolling views. There is a beautiful garden door that walks out to the spacious deck directly from the kitchen, perfect for those summer BBQ meals.
Family Room
At the other end of the dining room is this separate sitting room perfect for placement of the T.V. in the corner between the 2 windows with plenty of room for couches or comfy chairs.
Open Floor Plan
From this angle the main level including the family, dining and living room areas can be seen as the open concept plan that it now is.  Visible are the huge century barn beams, the solid pine staircase to the 2nd level and the large opening to the kitchen area.
