In the deepest, hilly part of Mono lies this beautiful 48 acre property with
a high degree of bush, privacy, pond, views and a great area for accessory
buildings and room to roam. There is currently a
cottage on the property which is perfect for the week-end getaway and a
place to have while planning to build on higher ground to capture the views.
In the past, a runway for light aircraft was in use, but is no longer – does
not meet today’s regulation code and measures 1000 feet long – however is
now a perfect space for a new home and space for a few horses, pool, tennis
courts and a great big soccer field to boot. This
particular road has many large estate lots which diminishes the noise and
traffic as they are not partitioned up and causing heavier density. It is
located in the protected area of the Niagara Escarpment and the severances
are minimal. Down the road is the entrance to Mono Cliffs Park and 2000
acres more to roam with hiking trails, the cliffs, lakes, riding trails,
making it a truly wonderful location for the nature enthusiast and those who
wish to maintain a healthier lifestyle. Nearby is the Mono Cliffs Inn – a
favorite spot for dinner and evening jazz. The pond is located at the front
of the property and is spring fed and is home to many species of birds, fish
and frogs who enjoy it being here. The house is tucked off the road and
enjoys extreme privacy from neighbours – but still affords views from many
parts of the land. A century barn foundation has been turned into an
airplane hangar and can be used as a barn again for horses or maintained as
a great hobby/workshop for the next owner. |
